Warehouse Assistant - Full time position

We offer an exciting opportunity for an energetic, self-motivated Warehouse Assistant to join our growing team and support our Warehouse Supervisor.

 DBC provides industrial maintenance services across a number of industry sectors. We are a leader in the rope access industry. This role helps us to achieve success on work sites and you will contribute to our reputation for providing high quality services.

 You will be based at our IRATA training and operations facility in Bulli. Your working hours will be 6 am to 2 pm Monday to Friday.

This is a hands-on warehouse workshop role, in a fast-paced environment. 

You will be adaptable and enjoy working alongside trades technicians and apprentices.

You will be given the opportunity to acquire new skills and join a team of highly motivated people.

Duties: (not limited to)

Hands on maintenance for our plant, equipment and vehicles to help us achieve 100% readiness for callouts

Liaise with suppliers and others for the regular calibration, testing and servicing of our specialised plant and equipment.

Regular maintenance for the DBC vehicle fleet, including cleaning, organising servicing and vehicle registration

Update equipment registers and logs via RFID tracking system.

Mobilise and demobilise equipment for different work scopes and sites locally and regionally. 

General maintenance for the warehouse, workshop, parking areas and outbuildings.

To be successful you must have:

Current driver's licence with a proven (RMS) good driving record 

Ability to pass medical and drug and alcohol test

Good computer skills and a willingness to learn new systems 

Team player with good verbal and written communication skills

Interest in equipment technology, innovation and ideas as we like to try new products


Forklift licence

HR/MR truck licence 

Warehouse/workshop experience 

Equipment inspection experience

Experience with Ezy- ID or similar RFID system preferred

Test & tag qualification

Rope Access Trainees

We are seeking applications from young people who may be interested in becoming rope access trainees .Perhaps you are pursuing a qualification at Wollongong TAFE and are keen to eventually become an a rope access trade technician. Our main premises are in Bulli and this opportunity would suit local students. 

DBC has over 22 years experience providing rope access industrial maintenance, including trades services for working at height and confined spaces. We have also trained many trades people to become rope access technicians. A trainee at DBC will gain experience working on the ropes in a variety of industry settings.  

You will need to be committed to working and learning safely. Safety is a core principle in everything we do. As a team, DBC draw on the experience and professionalism of our rope access personnel to deliver projects safely, on time and to the highest standard. We require all personnel to be committed to maintaining and strengthening our safety performance.
